Grammar and Vocabulary – Do as Directed Questions with Answers

এখানে ইংরেজি গ্রামারের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ Do as Directed প্রশ্ন ও উত্তর দেওয়া হলো। এগুলো ক্লাস 7, ক্লাস 8, ক্লাস 9 এবং ক্লাস 10-এর পরীক্ষার জন্য খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

প্রথম সেট (1×6=6)

1. Everybody hates a cheater. [Frame question with 'who']
   👉 Who hates a cheater?
2. He is so proud that he will not apologise for his mistake. [Turn into a simple sentence]
   👉 He is too proud to apologise for his mistake.
3. "What is your problem?" said the doctor to the patient. [Change into indirect speech]
   👉 The doctor asked the patient what his problem was.
4. I am ill. I cannot attend my duty. [Join with participle]
   👉 Being ill, I cannot attend my duty.
5. She resembles her sister. [Replace with phrasal verb]
   👉 She takes after her sister.
6. Mr Sen and his family in Jalpaiguri for last ten years. [Fill in the blanks with 'live']
   👉 Mr Sen and his family have been living in Jalpaiguri for the last ten years.

দ্বিতীয় সেট (1×6=6)

1. I said to him, "When will you go?" [Change the narration]
   👉 I asked him when he would go.
2. He placed it gently. [Rewrite using adjective form]
   👉 He placed it with gentleness.
3. Some rules are to be observed in the spirit, not in the letter. [Change the voice]
   👉 One must observe some rules in the spirit, not in the letter.
4. Robinson Crusoe is the most adventurous story I have ever read. [Comparative degree]
   👉 Robinson Crusoe is more adventurous than any other story I have ever read.
5. The boy felt sorry because he was late. [Turn into simple j]
   👉 Being late, the boy felt sorry.
6. Extinguish the light please. [Replace with phrasal verb]
   👉 Put out the light, please.

তৃতীয় সেট

Change the mode of narration

1. She said to me, "Have you left for school?"
   👉 She asked me if I had left for school.
2. Jim said to Dolla, "Don't look at me that way."
   👉 Jim told Dolla not to look at him that way.

Change the voice

1. What colour do you like?
   👉 Which colour is liked by you?
2. Who paid for the meal?
   👉 By whom was the meal paid for?

Fill in the blanks with correct phrasal verbs

1. It is our duty to our parents.
   👉 It is our duty to look after our parents.
2. The patient has.
   👉 The patient has passed away.
